Processo de recriação de uma infraestrutura férrea desactivada
The perception of a place is determined by several factors. At first, we look at the parts that define it as individual elements, different from each other. Only when put together side by side as fragments they reveal what relates them unconsciously. This work is developed through an experimental and collective interpretation of Sado's territory. Despite all the qualities that constitute its territory, Alcácer do Sal presents itself today as a place going into oblivion. How to build a new possibility for the city was the first issue raised. It is based on the discovery of a railroad infrastructure partially deactivated that the process begins. The work, results from two distinct conditions: the real situation of this infrastructure and the discovery of the territory where it is implanted. These two moments, apparently distinct, gave way to the proposed program: build the place for an atlas based on a collective production, constantly changing, which functions as a mirror of a territory.
